The Philippines Orphanage Foundation is committed to loving, serving and supporting the precious orphans of the Philippines.
Considering there are approximately 1.8 million orphans throughout the country, we could throw a dart at a map of the Philippines and where it lands is a good place to plant an orphanage. If you take in consideration the square mileage of the Philippines and the estimated number of orphans, the conclusion is staggering. We conclude there are approximately 15 orphans for every square mile of the Philippines. In other words, the need is great!
The Philippines is an amazing country comprised of more than 7000 islands – 7107 to be exact. But the nation exists in a paradox of extreme beauty and extreme poverty.
God’s call for us is to reach out to orphans on all three geographical divisions of the Philippines – Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Our dream is to make such a huge impression on the lives of these orphans, that it will create a lasting impact for generations to come. And that’s why POF exists – not only to improve their present quality of life, but to add hope to their futures. In fact, that’s our motto, “Changing Lives, Shaping Futures.” Everything we plan and everything we do is measured against this objective. Most of all, everything about this ministry is undergirded by prayer.
