The inception of MCCH is a heartwarming story of a shared vision between a missionary Pastor in the Philippines and a compassionate individual living in the United States. Both shared a deep desire to rescue and aid orphaned, abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children.
MCCH is a government-registered orphanage based in Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines. It is licensed to receive and care for orphaned and abandoned children referred by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) or the local Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD).
Pastor Phil Frasier serves as the President of MCCH, while Mrs. Rachel Frasier serves as the Director, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the orphanage.
MCCH is currently the loving and supportive home of seven children ages 1 1/2 months old to 8 years old. The orphanage usually receives orphaned, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered children aged 0-12 months. Additionally, they consider cases of children aged seven years old and below who are in crisis, evaluating them on a case-to-case basis.
The orphanage operates with a dedicated team of paid staff and volunteers, and it benefits from the presence of an in-house social worker from the government to ensure the well-being and development of the children.
Manaoag Christian Baptist Church, the partner church of the orphanage, ensures that the overall well-being of the children at MCCH is meticulously taken care of.
Physically:
The children enjoy a robust and healthy upbringing, thanks to a wholesome diet based on natural foods. They benefit from outdoor exposure and engage in activities encouraging exercise, fresh air, and opportunities for exploration and creativity.
A local doctor provides free medical services, while the local community hospital facilitates immunizations. Volunteer nurses make regular health checks to ensure the children’s health remains a top priority.
Mentally:
Intellectual growth is encouraged through reading, schooling, conversations, and interactive play.
Emotionally:
The children find security and love through the unconditional care of staff and volunteers, allowing them to express joy and happiness.
Spiritually:
The orphanage nurtures spiritual awareness, ensuring the children are well-versed in the truths of the Bible, salvation, and the work of the Lord Jesus. They learn to pray, memorize Bible verses, and sing Christian songs.
MCCH takes educational support seriously. Children of school age attend the local Day Care Center for preschool classes. Older children attend an elementary Home School Program, with volunteer teachers providing instruction. MCCH pledges to support their education from high school through college.
The sole supporter of MCCH is the Philippines Orphanage Foundation, although the orphanage does receive in-kind donations from individuals, including food, clothing, and other necessities.
Together, MCCH and its supporters make a significant impact on the lives of these children.
